[ THE CHALLENGE ]  Study options for housing and mixed use development that make use of underutilized properties to meet the need for more affordable housing.

[ THE RESPONSE ]  Abacus worked with housing consultant Karen Sunnarborg,  the Town Planner and a range of stakeholder groups and town boards and commissions in selecting key sites and developing a series of conceptual development proposals for revitalization, walkability and community friendly affordable housing development. Public presentations built consensus around projected development scenarios, including a downtown arts district.
